Bio
Dr. Olaf Kraus de Camargo is a developmental pediatrician and professor of pediatrics, recognized for advancing interprofessional education and knowledge transfer. As co-director of CanChild – Centre for Childhood-onset Disability Research at McMaster University, he has led major collaborative projects. His research has successfully implemented the World Health Organization’s International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) in clinical and research settings for developmental disabilities and neurodevelopmental differences, particularly supporting Autistic individuals.

- Dr. Kraus de Camargo pursues a non-categorical approach to disability and is interested in the commonalities between Autistic patients, the experiences of their families and patients with other types of impairments or chronic conditions. His focus is on accessibility and service provision across the spectrum of childhood-onset disabilities.
